Can I really use Simply Link for free?
Yes. Free has no monthly subscription. You can create real payment requests, take real customer payments and use the core Simply Link workflow. A 1% Simply Link platform fee applies when a customer successfully pays you, plus applicable Stripe fees.
Does Free include automatic reminders?
Yes. Free includes the standard Simply Link reminder schedule and wording on one eligible payment request each calendar month. You can still send manual reminders on other eligible requests. Pro enables automatic reminders across every eligible request and lets you customise the schedule and wording.
Are Recurring Requests automatic payments?
No. Recurring Requests create the next normal Simply Link payment request on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly schedule. Your customer still opens the secure payment link and chooses to pay. Simply Link does not automatically charge their card.
When are Recurring Requests created?
Simply Link creates the next occurrence five calendar days before its due date. You can choose whether each new request stays as a draft for you to check or is made live automatically.
What does Request Again do?
Request Again creates a fresh payment request from a previous one. It is useful when the same or similar work happens again but does not follow a fixed weekly, fortnightly or monthly schedule.
When should I upgrade to Pro?
Upgrade when Simply Link becomes part of how you regularly get paid and you want more of the routine handled for you: recurring requests, automatic reminders across every eligible request, custom reminder wording and timing, higher limits, branding, receipts and no Simply Link platform fee.
What payment receipts are included with Pro?
After a successful payment, Pro can automatically email the customer a branded payment receipt and provide a private printable receipt page. You can also receive a payment-received email. These are payment receipts, not VAT invoices or tax invoices.
Does Pro remove all payment fees?
No. Pro removes the Simply Link platform fee. Stripe processing and any other applicable Stripe fees remain separate.
When does Pro cost the same as the 1% Free fee?
At £1,900 of payment volume in a month, the 1% Simply Link platform fee would be £19 — the same as one month of Pro. Stripe fees apply separately on both plans.
Can I cancel Pro?
Yes. There are no long-term contracts. You can cancel Pro and keep access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period.
