UK 2026 guide prices

The calculator uses sensible UK cleaning price bands

Cleaning prices vary by region, property condition, job type and whether the work is regular or one-off. A weekly domestic clean is usually priced differently from an end-of-tenancy clean, deep clean or after-builders clean.

Use this tool as a starting point, then adjust for your time, travel, supplies, parking, access, insurance, risk and the exact standard expected by the client.

Regular domestic cleaning

The calculator uses a practical hourly guide of about £15 to £25 for independent regular domestic cleaning, with higher rates for agencies, London and premium providers.

Deep cleaning

Deep cleans are priced higher because they usually take longer and involve more detailed work. The calculator uses a mid-rate around £31 per hour before local adjustments.

End-of-tenancy cleaning

End-of-tenancy prices are estimated as fixed project prices by property size, with common UK guide ranges running from smaller flats through to larger homes.

Cleaning Price Examples

Different cleaning jobs need different pricing logic

Charging one flat hourly rate for every clean can underprice bigger, riskier or more detailed jobs. The scope matters as much as the time.

Weekly domestic clean

A 2 to 3 hour weekly clean is often priced from the cleaner’s hourly rate. The condition is usually easier to manage because the home is cleaned regularly.

Deep clean

A deep clean may take 5 to 8 hours or more depending on property size, bathrooms, kitchens, build-up and whether appliances are included.

End-of-tenancy clean

End-of-tenancy cleaning is usually priced as a project because the expected standard is higher and extras like ovens, carpets and appliances can change the total quickly.

After-builders clean

Dust, debris and repeated wipe-downs make after-builders cleaning more intensive than a normal domestic clean, so it should not be priced like a quick weekly visit.

Add-ons

Ovens, carpets, fridges and interior windows should usually be priced separately so the client understands why the quote is higher than a basic clean.

Deposits

Deposits can make sense for larger cleans, end-of-tenancy jobs, after-builders work or bookings where a cancellation would leave a big gap in the diary.

Useful next steps

Price the clean, send the link, then track the payment

The quote is only step one. Once the client agrees, make the payment easy and avoid chasing manually if they forget.

1

Price the scope clearly

Explain what is included, what is extra, and whether the quote depends on viewing the property.

2

Send the payment link

Use a payment link for the deposit, balance or full cleaning payment when the client agrees.

3

Let reminders follow up

If payment is still due, automatic reminders can follow up without another awkward text.
